Jackie Tessier scores Canada's final goal at FISU women's soccer

Canada has finished 10th at the World Student Games women's soccer tournament, after they dropped a 2-1 decision to Russia Monday. The Canadians finished the 12-team event with a 3-3 record.
Jackie Tessier of the Queen's Golden Gaels scored Canada's only goal, in the game's 59th minute. Her third goal of the tournament lifted the Canadians into a 1-1 tie, but Anna Sinyuitina's second goal of the game 13 minutes later gave the host side the win.
Canada managed just three shots on net, while Canadian goalkeeper Rachel Bedek of Carleton faced 11 Russian shots. Related Articles:
