Posted: August 4th, 2013 @ 10:56pm

Ontario remains undefeated after two days of the women's volleyball competition at the Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Que.

Niki Slikboer of the Queen's Golden Gaels led Ontario with 10 kills in its opening-round 3-0 victory over the Yukon Saturday. Ontario won handily 25-6, 25-2, 25-5. Slikboer, of Seagrave, Ont., did not play in Ontario's first match Sunday, a 3-0 win over Saskatchewan in which the Ontarians had a more difficult time, prevailing 29-27, 25-22, 26-24.

Slikboer had four kills Sunday night as Ontario defeated Prince Edward Island 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 25-7).

Slikboer's teammate at Queen's, Brett Hagarty of Aurora, has played in all nine sets for Ontario, which will end its preliminary schedule Monday night against British Columbia, which is also 3-0 after two days of play.

On Saturday Kingston's Evan McNeely placed seventh in the men's cross-country mountain bike race at Mont Bellevue. McNeely, 21, was the second Ontario rider across the line, in 1 hour 26 minutes 0.6 seconds. Quebec's Leandre Bouchard won the race in 1:20:09.3.
