Posted: December 8th, 2013 @ 7:24pm

La Salle Black Knights got 28 points from Tanner Graham and 24 from Jesse Graham Saturday as they defeated Waterloo St. Mary 69-65 in the championship game of the annual Queen's Invitational senior boys high school basketball tournament at the Athletics and Recreation Centre.

La Salle, a AA school, won all four of its games and is now 12-0 this year in league and tournament play.

St. Mary, a quad-A team, was also undefeated through the semifinals, including a 70-44 win over the Kingston Blues in its first game.

KC came back to win the bronze medal over Father Goetz of Mississauga, another AAAA school.

The Knights began play Friday with a 58-48 win over the Sydenham Golden Eagles. Then came a 48-27 victory over the Loyalist Lancers and a 48-45 semifinal win over Crescent School of Toronto.

In the championship game, Bruce Burns added 12 points to the La Salle attack, and the Grahams combined to gather 26 rebounds.

Jesse Graham was selected the tournament's outstanding player, while Tanner Graham and Sayre Powers of KC were both named to the tournament all-star team.

Bayridge, Holy Cross and Frontenac were the other Kingston-area schools that took part in the 16-team event.
