Queen's runner wins gold at CIS track championships

 Julie-Anne Staehli of Queen's won the women's 3,000 metres Saturday at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport track and field championships in Edmonton.
Staehli, a second-year arts and science student from Lucknow, Ont., led the field to the finish line in 9 minutes 32.91 seconds, 1.07 seconds ahead of Carise Thompson of Guelph.
One other local athlete, Kingston native Connor Outhit, was part of Toronto's fifth-place team in the men's 3,200-metre relay.
