Kingston runners competing at world student cross-country championships
Posted: March 21st, 2014 @ 7:15pm
Three Kingston athletes will be competing Saturday at the FISU cross-country championships in Entebbe, Uganda.
Blair Morgan of Kingston, captain of the cross-country team at McMaster, is part of the Canadian men's team. Queen's runners Julie-Anne Staehli and Victoria Coates are members of the women's team, for which Kingston's Steve Boyd, the varsity coach at Queen's, is an assistant coach.
Staehli won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport championship in November in London, where Coates finished third. Morgan was 11th in the men's race that day, two weeks after he finished seventh at the Ontario University Athletics championship.
