Bath woman was a member of championship team bound for Laurier sports hall of fame

Lindsay Arbeau is among the members of Wilfrid Laurier University's national championship women's hockey team of 2005 that will be inducted into the Golden Hawk Hall of Fame this fall.
Eight individuals and that team will be feted Sept. 26, during Laurier's annual Homecoming weekend.
Arbeau, originally from Bath, was a member of the team from 2001-06, during which time the Hawks won four Ontario University Athletics championships. She later served as an assistant coach for two seasons, 2011-13, helping the team to the conference title in 2011-12.
Under Rick Osborne, who was in his first full season as coach, Laurier posted a 17-2-2-1 record during the regular 2004-05 schedule and eliminated Brock and Toronto en route to the Ontario championship. The Hawks were undefeated at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport tournament, defeating Manitoba and Concordia in the preliminary round before topping Alberta 4-1 in the national final.
It was Laurier's first national women's hockey gold medal.
