Queen's rowers win three medals at Commonwealth regatta

Lark Davenport Huyer of Queen's University and the Kingston Rowing Club won two medals during the weekend at the Commonwealth Rowing Association championships at Strathclyde Park, Scotland.
Davenport Huyer, from Caledon, Ont., teamed with Gabrielle Smith of Montreal to win the 500-metre women's double sculls Saturday, and then Sunday they finished third in the final of the 1,500-metre division of the same event.
Davenport Huyer was fourth Saturday in a six-boat final in the women's single.
Meghan Robinson of Queen's, in a crew with Smith, Jill Moffat and Katherine Walker, won a silver medal in the women's quadruple sculls. Rowing with Olivia McMurray of Airdrie, Alta., in the Canadian women's pair, Robinson, of Bowen Island, B.C., was fourth. Related Articles:
