A linebacker from the Ottawa Gee-Gees football team has been suspended for two years by Canadian Interuniversity Sport.
Dylan Auty, who appeared in three games as a rookie in 2014 and made five tackles, has been barred for evading an out-of-competition test Oct. 7, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport announced Monday.
Auty has waived his right to a hearing, thereby accepting the punishment.
Auty started in the second game of the season at Queen’s. He was involved in one tackle.
The CIS identifies Auty as being from Inverary, though the team roster from the Queen’s game says he attended Christ the King High School in Georgetown.
