Doug Corby, Dillon Wamsley named to play in East-West Bowl

Posted: April 13th, 2015 @ 8:01pm

Two members of the Queen’s Golden Gaels have been named to the East team for the 13th annual East-West Bowl football game, May 9 at Molson Stadium in Montreal.

Receiver Doug Corby and kicker Dillon Wamsley will play in the game, presented as a showcase for players entering their senior year this fall who are eligible for the 2016 Canadian Football League draft.

The East team, coached by Danny Maciocia of the Vanier Cup champion Montreal Carabins, has won four of the last five games, including 19-12 last year in London. The West, this year coached by Brian Dobie of the Canada West champion Manitoba Bisons, won six of the first seven East-West Bowls.

The East team comprises players from the Atlantic and Quebec conferences, as well as eastern Ontario University Athletics teams Carleton, Ottawa, Queen’s and Toronto. The West team is drawn from teams in the remainder of the OUA and Canada West.
