A cranky weatherman was the only winner Sunday, as the final day of the Softball Ontario peewee elimination tournament was rained out at the Napanee Fairgrounds.
The remaining games of the 12-team tournament, to determine which team will represent the province at the eastern Canada championship in Newfoundland in August, will be played at a time and place to be determined.
When play was halted Saturday night, two teams remained undefeated: Belmore, 3-0, and the host Napanee Express, 2-0. The Express opened with a 6-0 win over Shallow Lake and followed that with an 8-3 victory over previously unbeaten Cobourg.
