Loyalist Lancers moved into a tie for seventh place Thursday, as they defeated the Ernestown Eagles 46-26 in a game that will do much to determine the final spot in the Kingston Area Secondary Schools Athletic Association senior girls basketball playoffs.
Both teams went into the game 1-6, and with the home-court win, LC moved into a tie with the idle Bayridge Blazers, who also have four points but have played one less game.
In Thursday’s only other contest, the La Salle Black Knights handed the Napanee Golden Hawks their seventh loss in a row, 52-19, in Napanee. It was the sixth win in eight games for La Salle, which sits alone in third place.
