Queen's hosting lacrosse clinic, charity game
Posted: March 23rd, 2013 @ 10:41am
Queen's Gaels will play the Toronto Blues in an exhibition intercollegiate field lacrosse game this afternoon at 2 o'clock on Tindall Field.
The game is being played to support the Headstrong Foundation, an organization that raises awareness and money for research into non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The foundation was established in memory of Nicholas Colleluori, a former player at Hofstra University on Long Island, N.Y., who died of the disease in 2006. Both teams will incorporate lime green, the foundation's trademark colour, into their uniforms today.
Before the game members of the Queen's team will provide a free instructional clinic to children of the Kingston area on Tindall Field.
