Kingston Canadians lead 2-1 going into the third period but a goal by Steve Gatzos 47 seconds into the third period lifts the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds into a 2-2 tie at the Memorial Centre. The Canadians are still looking for their first win in the eight-point semifinal series, which the Greyhounds now lead 5-1.
Scott Howson scored both of Kingston's goals, in a span of three minutes late in the second period. Marc D'Amour faced 30 shots in the Sault Ste. Marie goal, while the visitors tested Kingston goalie Mike Moffat 33 times before a crowd of 3,256.
