Ohio Valley University lacrosse player Kyle Aylesworth has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference rookie of the week for the second week in a row.
Aylesworth, a freshman from Kingston, scored eight goals in a mid-week 13-11 win over Aldrerson-Broaddus, Ohio Valley's first conference victory since joining the ECAC this year. Aylesworth then scored twice and added an assist in a 16-6 weekend loss to Molloy, the No. 9-ranked team among NCAA Division II schools.
A Frontenac Secondary School grad who will return home for his final junior season with the Kingston Kings next month, Aylesworth has scored 23 goals in four games in April.
Ohio Valley is now 5-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Fighting Scots will face Walsh tomorrow in a conference match at Vienna, W.Va.
