Brad Boyle fifth after first round of $150,000 Victoria tournament

Kingston's Brad Boyle begins Friday's second round in a tie for fifth place at the $150,000 Times Colonist-Island Savings Open golf tournament at Victoria, the first event of the season on the Canadian professional tour.
Boyle carded a four-under-par 66 on the Uplands Golf Club course, and is tied with Kevin Stinson of Mission, B.C., and Ireland's Fergal Rafferty, three strokes off the pace.
American Matt Marshall leads the field with a seven-under-par round of 63, one shot better than countryman Joe Panzeri.
