OFSAA results
OSHAWA - Results of Kingston-area competitors Saturday on the final day of the 64th Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations track and field championships at the Civic Recreation Centre:
Nick Adams, Sydenham
Ran midget boys 800 metres in personal-best 2 minutes 7.95 seconds, finished fourth in the second-fastest heat and did not qualify for the final. His time was 15th overall.
Ben Amos, Sydenham
Ran midget boys 300-metre hurdles in 46.94 seconds, finished eighth in the second-fastest heat and did not qualify for the final. His time was 24th overall.
Nicole Armstrong, Sydenham
Ran senior girls 800 metres in season-best 2 minutes 13.55 seconds, finished fourth in the fast heat and qualified for the final. Her time was fifth overall.
Finished fourth in the final in 2:12.91, matching her personal best.
Tanner Armstrong, Frontenac
Threw 41.16 metres with his third attempt, a personal best, and finished 10th in midget boys discus.
Jonathan Besselink, Holy Cross
Ran junior boys 800 metres in pesonal best 1 minute 59.66 seconds, finished second in the slow heat and qualified for the final. His time was sixth overall.
Finished eighth in the final in 2:04.49.
Robert Connors, Regiopolis Notre Dame
Cleared 1.65 metres, matching his personal best, and finished tied for 13th in midget boys high jump.
David Cox, Sharbot Lake
Cleared 1.75 metres and finished fifth in junior boys high jump.
Ben Cross, Frontenac
Had a season-best throw of 50.54 metres and finished fourth in junior boys javelin.
Emily Drouin, Regiopolis Notre Dame
Ran senior girls 800 metres in personal-best 2 minutes 19.01 seconds, finished seventh in the fast heat and did not qualify for the final. Her time was 19th overall.
Wade Embury, Sydenham
Ran senior boys 200 metres in 22.10 seconds, finished second in the second-fastest heat and qualified for the final. His time was fifth overall.
Ran the final in 22.07 seconds and won the silver medal.
Leah Hill, Napanee
Had a best attempt of 27.00 metres and finished 13th in junior girls discus.
Heather Jaros, La Salle
Ran junior girls 800 metres in 2 minutes 19.98 seconds, finished second in the second-fastest heat and qualified for the final. Her time was fifth overall.
Won the silver medal in the final in 2:09.83, a personal best.
Mitch Kirby, Frontenac
Finished 14th in junior boys 3,000 metres, in 9 minutes 14.92 seconds.
Cameron Linscott, Kingston
Won the bronze medal in midget boys 3,000 metres, in a personal-best 9 minutes 0.95 seconds.
Branna MacDougall, Regiopolis Notre Dame
Ran midget girls 800 metres in personal best 2 minutes 19.95 seconds, finished third in the fast heat and qualified for the final. Her time was eighth overall.
Finished fifth in the final in 2:20.32.
Sam Mace, Loyalist
Threw 35.79 metres with his first attempt and finished 17th in midget boys discus.
Shayla Moore, Holy Cross
Ran junior girls 300-metre hurdles in 49.52 seconds, finished sixth in the slow heat and did not qualify for the final. Her time was 18th overall.
Adrienne Morgan, Ernestown
Finished 18th in senior girls 3,000 metres, in 10 minutes 36.75 seconds.
Cole Norton, Prince Edward
Ran junior boys 200 metres in 23.04 seconds, won the slow heat and qualified for the final. His time was third overall.
Ran the final in 22.80 seconds and won the silver medal.
Sophia Skorenky, Marie-Rivier
Ran junior girls 200 metres in 27.02 seconds, finished sixth in the second-fastest heat and did not qualify for the final. Her time was 16th overall.
Johnny Vinkle, Sharbot Lake
Threw 14.00 metres with his first attempt and finished 13th in senior boys shot put.
Hailey Wolfgram, Regiopolis Notre Dame
Threw 9.97 metres with her last attempt and won the bronze medal in midget girls shot put.
* Had a best attempt of 25.21 metres and finished 18th in midget girls javelin.
Ben Workman, Kingston
Won the bronze medal in junior boys 3,000 metres, in a personal-best 8 minutes 45.82 seconds.

Sydenham Open Boys
Ben Trickey, Jay Dearborn, Eamon Hills and Wade Embury won the silver medal in a season-best 3 minutes 20.01 seconds.
