Queen's players help Ontario to bronze medal at national field hockey tournament

Two members of the Queen's Golden Gaels were on the Ontario team that won the bronze medal on the weekend at the national women's field hockey championship tournament in Brampton.
Kara Pogue scored once and had an assist in Ontario's 7-2 win over the Ontario under-23 team in the bronze medal match. Fiona Downey scored three goals in a 9-1 win over Alberta. Also on the team was former Queen's captain Allison Wallis.
Gaels midfielder Katie Macdonald was a member of the Ontario under-23 team.
Queen's coach Mary-Anne Reid was an assistant on the Ontario senior team's staff, while Gaels assistant coach Karl Erickson was the provincial team's manager.
