Impressive debut for Kyle Aylesworth
Posted: February 25th, 2013 @ 8:54pm
Kingston's Kyle Aylesworth made an auspicious debut with the Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley University Saturday, scoring six goals to lead his team to a 20-1 victory over Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.
Aylesworth, a freshman, added three assists to lead his team with nine points.
A graduate of Frontenac Secondary School and a four-year member of the Kingston Kings, Aylesworth has climbed into the junior C club's all-time scoring leaders. With 47 goals and 84 points in 49 games, Aylesworth, the lifetime leader among active players, is tied for 11th place with Ron Folk, who collected 84 points in 1975-76. Next in sight for Aylesworth when Ontario Junior C Lacrosse League play resumes in May is Mike Murphy, who had 87 points in 78 games, 1973-76. Related Articles:
