Both St. Lawrence basketball teams continued their winning ways Saturday afternoon, as the male and female Vikings each posted victories at George Brown in Toronto.

The women began the day with their sixth win in a row, an 87-37 decision over Brown. The Vikings improved to 11-1, and stay two points ahead of second-place Algonquin, a 75-31 victor over Georgian Saturday.

With its loss, Brown fell to 1-11.

The St. Lawrence men endured a much tougher fight to secure their 76-72 win over the Huskies. For the Vikings, it was the second nail-biter in a row, having beaten Seneca by a point on Friday night.

It was the eighth-straight win for St. Lawrence, which moved into third place in the East division at 10-5, two points ahead of both Loyalist and Centennial. The Vikings and second-place Georgian each have 20 points, though the Grizzlies have played two fewer games.

Both St. Lawrence teams are back on the court Saturday afternoon in Belleville, against the Loyalist Lancers.
